LoadOut Campaign beta review.

The Loadout campaign is a breath of fresh air into the base game experience, if you cant be bothered to play pvp style, or find it too hard cos everyone is using shock weapons and that's super booosheet, then you can play the campaign, which is basically the same thing except you fight aliens with brutal AI and enhanced skills and health pools instead of actual players.

however, with the implementation of the campaign came with it a loot system, you can still buy things from the shop if you have disposable income, but the way your supposed to get it in this free to play game is by playing the some 30+ levels in the campaign ranging from different difficulty levels therefore garnering different tiers or "levels" of gear.

a level 1 standard magazine isnt as good as a level 5 standard magazine as the base stars are increased, like reload time or mag size. almost all of the parts have stats that effect the base gun, i found that a good combination of the standard magazine plus the heavy muzzle break and the 3-shot burst fire mode gives you good damage with above average rate of fire without sacrificing too much.

the campaign is a nice addition to the game adding more things to do in Loadout and its one of my more favourite F2P games, even higher in my list then Planetside 2 in sheer accessibility.

Update

most of my time in the past few days and most of my thoughts have been getting this suit of armour modelled and textured enough that i could call it complete. And Finally after many hours of work its finally done, all that remains is a few minor details that probably wont even be seen by the player but to me makes it feel more and more complete, we may end up just making my details into textures that are just slapped on there. here it is:

this is the final or atleast near final of the rank and file cavalry:
 shits and giggles golden render
 all da guys
Stage 2 horse im working on now for the riders in the previous renders

Pc Equipment.

Selecting PC equipment like GPU's and CPU's can be daunting if you dont know what your doing, a helpful tip for picking parts is choose your motherboard first, everything runs of your mother board, and you will have an easier time choosing pieces for your PC rather then selecting the parts first then finding out there not compatible with your motherboard.

Processor is the next important things, as there are multiple socket sets and stuff that are only compatible with certain sockets on motherboards like a 1155 socket processor wont work with a 2011 socket motherboard, you must match the sockets first. Ram is another issue that people might come across, as ram is clocked at different MHZ speeds and some motrherboards only support upto a certain amount of MHZ from its ram.

GPU's dont matters as much, however having a lower PCIE slot then the GPU is ment wont affect its compatibility but it will effect its performance usually in the form of not going as fast as it could. So a GPU that is meant for PCIE 3 will work but wont be as fast on a PCIE 2 slot.

I want a Mech.

Mechwarrior online is the exact reason i want a mechsuit, because you are a towering monolithic behemoth, as tall as buildings crushing everything under foot. you walk down the street and it quakes as you move past, shattering windows, setting off car alarms and even stepping on them as if they were some tiny bug.

the firepower you can sport as a mechsuit is unrivelled. the combined firepower of an army in one package, its the most intimidating thing to see coming at you, you can have your tanks and power armour, but the shear fear factor alone of a mechsuit makes me want it.

unfortunatly the ONLY thing holding us back from such a future is a power source, a means of powering the monstrosities is the last hurdle in their creation, and i want to be there when mankind discovers it, if man survives long enough without going into another war and possible decimating the world.

Creating a Charactor

Creating a charactor is as much about you as it is the charactor you're trying create.

Charactors are as real as you want them to be and 'realness' is determined by how much detail you want to put in to that charactor's story.

the first question i ask myself when creating a charactor is, is this a "noise" charactor, meaning does this charactor have any impact on the story or is this charactor just there to make the world seem more populated?

if this charactor is not a noise charactor then the next question i would ask myself is, Where in the world does this Charactor fit in?

depending on where in the story this charactor is, determines the amount of detail you need to put in to him/her to make him seem real and atleast, less like a robot.

With making charactors, its all about trying to make thier stories flow. If you can intertwine charactors stories with each other, it makes both of those charactors seem so much more real as they have history, and it makes the viewer/reader feel like they are real charactors.
